The Only Coats You Need to Endure the Rest of Winter in Style

The Only Coats You Need to Endure the Rest of Winter in Style
Wednesday 9 January 2019

Even though many of us have are daydreaming of the warmer weather Spring has coming our way, it’s impossible to not get a touch of reality when stepping outside.  This winter has been a wild card for sure and a few fashion capitals like New York are getting hit hard with the colder temperatures lately, but that won’t stop our fashinovas from hitting the streets in style regardless if they can feel their toes.  To be somewhat practical, we’ve curated a selection of the most trend worthy coats to keep your style cool and body warm.

From Gigi Hadid slaying it on the daily in the Big Apple with her outerwear to Katie Holmes always keeping it classy, there is so much inspiration to draw from.  Depending on your personality and fashion sense, hopefully one of these styles will compliment your wardrobe for the coming months.

Let’s be real, comfort is on the top of most of our lists when it comes down to facing the frigid air.  Max Mara has been killing it this season with a large majority of prominent celebrities sporting the brand’s Iconic Teddy Coat.  The oversized fit makes it great for layering and becoming an outfit statement piece in a variety of fun colors. Rihanna, Rita Ora, and Hailey Bieber are just a few of A-listers seen out and about in this cuddly coat.

A classic tweed coat can dress up even the most basic outfit.  The traditional textile is inspired by the prominent gentlemen from past decades who donned tweed on suits and sport coats.  The sophisticated sense has since been trickling into women’s coats with wool or heavy material. The durable construction will be sure to keep the wearer warm and look on par.

Plaid and check prints have been around for ages for outwear prints but this season the check coats seem to be more playful with colorings.  Shay Mitchell is a great example of how to have more fun with a plaid print in city life.

Ariana Grande has easily become an oversized style icon.  Sometimes it can be difficult for more petite women to feel comfortable in oversized pieces, but balancing oversized with fitted combinations is a provenly effective look.  Ariana was spotted crossing the street in an amazing Fendi coat and thigh high boots.

For a night out, a luxurious faux fur coat is definitely the way to go.  Most dresses to stand up to the cold climate so face the freeze with a crisp white overcoat, like Demi Lovato’s, to accompany formal attire.

Be sure to keep up with the latest looks and style inspiration from your favorite celebrities HERE.
