Most Memorable Moments From The People’s Choice Awards 2018

Most Memorable Moments From The People’s Choice Awards 2018
Tuesday 13 November 2018

What a powerful show the People’s Choice Awards was this last Sunday, November 11th.  Some of the greatest and most iconic individuals of 2018 gathered at Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger.  Despite all the devastation going on in California, the annual event went on to recognize the accomplishments of the ambitious nominees throughout this past year.

The program was televised on E! starting with the red carpet coverage and quick questionnaires from the arriving celebrities.  People’s Choice Awards has always been a time to have push the limits and have a little bit of fun when it comes to the fashion.  The nomination categories are far and wide, ranging from Best Country Star to Best Comedian. With this in mind, the crowd of influencers was muddled with large mix of styles.

The show kicked off without a hitch as the 43 different categories were consecutively announced over the two hour program.  Giving full voting power exclusively to the fans always makes it interesting to get some audience insights. The TV series Shadowhunters revealed the most riveting results from their fandom.  Unfortunately, the series was cancelled after the end of the 3rd season, but many are questioning why when the Shadowhunters cast took home 3 prestigious awards throughout the night.  There’s no word yet from the producers if they plan on rethinking their decision to cancel the series, but the audience obviously has not abandoned the show completely.

Another fan favorite, Nicki Minaj kept her streak rolling from her wins at the EMA’s, as she took home the category Best Album 2018 on Sunday.  Besides juggling the ongoing feuds currently with Cardi B and Tekashi 6ix9ine, she did have a little bit of fun mingling with other celebrities throughout the show.  When she took the stage she made a subtly humorous reference to Kim’s butt that had the crowd laughing and Twitter exploding. Kim Kardashian didn’t seem to mind at all.

Amongst the Kardashian clan Khloe was awarded Reality TV Star 2018.  Many Keeping Up With the Kardashians avid viewers rallied behind her when she was faced with Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal.  Following her acceptance, the entire family (except Kylie) took the stage to give a heartfelt message to those who are victims of the beastly wildfires.  Kim and Kanye’s home is currently stuck in the midst of the flames, but the firefighters are actively fighting to save it along with the neighboring houses.  Kylie is rumored to have refused to stand up with her family due to drama ensuing within the group. Whether that’s the case or not, it makes for great reality TV.

Some other winners from the night included Victoria Beckham for Fashion Icon, Melissa McCarthy for People’s Icon, and Avengers: Infinity War for Best Movie 2018.  In case you missed all the hottest looks from the PCAs, we have the best and worst below.
